Marsy – Chance The Dancer

Hannah Rodgers leads London four-piece Marsy through two debut tracks: “Chance The Dancer” and “Let No Other Change Your Mind” arrive via Heavenly Recordings, both produced by Mike Lindsay of Tuung and LUMP.

“Chance The Dancer” deals with timing and hindsight. Rodgers reflects on moments that felt like losses but turned out to be narrow escapes. The resolution comes through release rather than regret. Slinky guitar lines from Luke Rodgers weave around Paeris Giles’ drums while Ruby Kyriakides adds keyboard textures that never crowd the arrangement.

“Let No Other Change Your Mind” takes a different approach. Luke Rodgers calls it “an anthem for the sad” while Hannah describes the writing process as “ripping the plaster off.” The production stays delicate, giving each element room to breathe.

Lindsay’s production keeps things raw. No polish for the sake of it. Hannah writes from what she calls “a takeover, out-of-body” place, and the recordings honour that instinct. The band embraces slow tempos and sparse arrangements instead of chasing energy for its own sake.
